Which Is The Best Nursing Pillow?

I see so many nursing pillows on the market for sale, but I have no idea which are the differences between them. Which one is the best? Many moms say that Boppy nursing pillow is the best because it’s cheap and it can have multiple uses, even after weaning the baby.

    I have a boppy.
It can be used for nursing and bottle feeding play time, helping them set up…or even naptime to keep them slanted upwardshttp://boppy.com I have the U shaped one…but there are more.

i have used both the boppy and the Breast Friend one. the boppy does not have enough support at all! i would not suggest the boppy one to anyone!

I can’t give you pros and cons on different ones, just my experience with the one I had. I had a Boppy, mainly because it’s the one I always hear about. It worked really well, and I was happy with it.

I like the boppy because my breasts are very big and the pillow helps me to position my daughter better. Also, walmart’s version of the boppy is fine too but it is a little too soft.

Luna Lullaby is hands down the best pillow. They are much bigger than the Boppy with breathable fabric. Plus it’s overstuffed.
My cousin has one and she can’t live without it. And she’s not nursing anymore but she still uses it for a sleep pillow between her knees.

I did not find the Boppy or My Breast Friend to be useful! What worked best for me was a small, firm, rectangular decorative pillow – of course it would have been better to have one I could wash easily. If the mom is small and small waisted the Boppy should work well, average moms probably benefit from the competitor’s, for the rest of us tall and large moms you really need to improvise.

Most people I know have the boppy, which is good, but when i went to the lactation consultant she had the My Breast Friend pillow and I actually liked that better. The boppy is less expensive though and works fine–I just always had to add pillows under the boppy.
    Good luck with your decision!

I first bought the Boppy pillow but when I saw my lactation consultant she had the Brest Friend and I LOVED it. It was more comfortable and it makes the baby’s body be in a straight line causing the baby to nurse better. It also allowed me to have the baby at the right height to my breast so I didn’t have to lean forward. I do have to put a pillow under it though. It gave me more control over nursing then the Boppy.
The boppy though is excellent for tummy time!

I have to agree with richard on this one. The Bosom Baby pillow is bigger and is actually a “nursing pillow”. The Boppy is a baby prop that grew to be used as a nursing pillow but is seriously lacking in that department because of it small size. The lactation consultant at our hospital pointed out the Bosom Baby pillow to us as her preferred choice (and even uses it to teach her breast-feeding class) and it is definitely worth every penny!
Don’t get me wrong, I have a Boppy, but I also fell for the hype:(
But anyway, those are the two major pillows on the market, if that helps. ;)

I have the My breast friend pillow. I loved it. I had a Boppy too, but I didn’t find it as comfortable. I also like that it has a place for me to keep my water. I can drink water and not disturb the baby.
